I think this park is beautiful and well kept by STEVE the manager. As for everything else this park gets a 0. It says pet friendly but don't bother bringing them. The rules change daily. You are not allowed to take your dogs for a walk on their leash around the park..they have to stay at your camp site. You are not allowed to carry your dog from camp site to camp site. They can't even ride on a golf cart with you. My sister in law tried to drive her dog in her truck to visit some friends in the park and that is not even allowed! Mind you he tried kicking her out for this. The owner Doug has control issues and wants to police everybody. Feels more like a prison than a campground. I would rather stay in a park that is little more run down and have better customer service than stay here again. I will NEVER stay at this park again.

We are seasonal campers and have paid for a premium lot for the last few years at Long Lake Park Campground. We were at the campground a total of eight years. The campground is clean and facilities are better than most. The lot sizes average unless your willing to fork out $2,600 a year for a premium lot as we did. The people in our area of the campground were nice. We did not use any of the campgrounds facilities but they are better than most. The lake was nice but we only occasionally used this as well. They have occasional entertainment which again was not in our interest but seemed to be enjoyed.

This park is very well kept, although the customer service is not worth a penny! The owner is very rude, controlling, and updates his rules as he goes. The park says pet friendly, although he made me leave because my dog was in my truck and I left my site. Him and his wife are constantly going around gossiping about his visitors and they dislike you automatically if you're a pipeliner! I would much rather stay at a smaller, less nice park than ever even think about going back to this place! It rates a 0!

A tale of two personalities.

There are many rules and additional fees but likely not that much different from most campgrounds.

This is by far the best campgrounds around. We have been seasonal here for 3 yrs now and love it. Camped for 15 yrs prior at different campgrounds and always said if ever we were to go seasonal it would be at Long Lake. Very well kept. Nice pool and shower house along with the clubhouse. Owners are great. They put on a breakfast for Mother's Day and Father's Day and a pig roast. Bands on holiday weekends and activities and let's not forget the awesomest fireworks show on the fourth of July. Nice lake for our pontoon boat. Wouldn't want to stay any where else. Thanks Doug Jamie and Mahlin.

We personally observed that of course rules are not applied evenly to everyone. If the owners liked you then rules could be and would be overlooked.

Beautiful grounds , but policies over the top. You can't take a leashed dog for a walk is the latest, and camp sites are packed like sardines. Too strict, not fun.

My synopsis of Long Lake Park Campground is this. A beautiful campground in a nice setting with nice sized lots. The Camp Ground itself is better than most. However, because of the owners it is not worth the price at any cost.

As others have mentioned if you have pets - this is definitely not a pet friendly campground. We had dogs and paid extra fees for them. New rules are published via a private Facebook Group - then distributed via paper, at least that is our experience. The owners have a dictatorial management style which they can do since they own the campground. The general rule is your pet is not allowed off your campsite. You may not walk a pet in the campground, at all. Pets are also not allowed in golf carts. They must stay on your campsite. Of course pets must be on a leash at all times.
